(Family Massacre). Kano based lawyer and social commentator, Barrister Abba Hikima Fagge, has called on leaders, businessmen and the general public to come together to support Malam Bashir Haruna, who has found himself in a terrible situation following the massacre of his family.

Hikima explained that although fate cannot be changed, there are many ways that can be followed to ease the pain of Malam Bashir Haruna and make him happy for the rest of his life.

According to him, Malam Bashir’s family has already been prayed for and sought justice for their blood, but there is a need for the community to come together to help him in various ways.

Among the suggestions he made were allowing Malam Bashir to go on Umrah and Hajj, to gain peace of mind and security, and to amass a strong financial foundation so that he will not continue to worry about how he will survive after this terrible tragedy.

He also requested that Malam Bashir be relocated, saying that it is not right to let him continue to look at the place where he was bereaved, as this will only increase his pain.

Barrister Abba Hikima also called on everyone in the community who has the power to comfort Malam Bashir or help him to take this as their responsibility and duty. He added that the government should consider giving him something as compensation, even if it is not complete, to ease his pain.

He also urged dignitaries to approach Malam Bashir Haruna and show him care and compassion.

On the other hand, Barrister Abba Hikima warned journalists and other people who come to question Malam Bashir on how he feels about the tragic death of his family, saying that this is wrong, as everyone knows the situation Malam Bashir is in, and he does not need to explain or interview him about what happened.

He urged the public to fear God and avoid going to interview Malam Bashir Haruna to find out his condition.

Finally, Barrister Abba Hikima prayed that Allah Almighty would grant Malam Bashir Haruna patience and endurance in this great ordeal. Ameen.
