Nura Ajingi Assumes Duty As New Director News And Current Affairs Department Of Radio Kano
The Managing Director of Kano State Radio Corporation, Comrade Abubakar Adamu Rano, has urged staff of the station to continue upholding discipline and showing dedication in the discharge of their duties.
The Managing Director made the call while formally presenting the new Director of News and Current Affairs Department of the station, Comrade Nura Bala Ajingi.
Comrade Rano, who was represented by the Director of Administration and General Services, Hajiya Nafisa S.B. Abdulkadir, said it is only through discipline and commitment that the desired goals can be achieved.
He then wished the new Director success and advised him to always uphold honesty, fairness, and inclusiveness in carrying out his responsibilities.

The Managing Director then wishes the best for the outgoing Director and commended him for his outstanding performance.
In his acceptance remark, the new Director of News and Current Affairs of Kano Radio, Malam Nura Bala Ajingi, pledged to carry everyone along and then sought cooperation of heads of units under the department, as well as the entire staff, in order to effectively discharge the responsibility entrusted to him.
A brief history about Ajingi.
Nura Bala Ajingi, a long term presenter of Duniya Ina Labari, was a former two-term chairman of NUJ, Radio Kano Chapel, and currently a treasurer of the Kano State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ. He bagged his degree in Hausa from the faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies(FAIS), at the prestigious Bayero University Kano.
As a dedicated and purely concentrated Journalist known for his unwavering commitment to news gathering, Ajingi performed well at sensitive news bits, including the correspondent at Deputy Governors’ office, Kano State Government House, Kano State House of Assembly, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, and a reporter to Court and Police. He was a member of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters SNB.

In his remarks, the outgoing Director, Malam Dayyabu Umaru Maimai Rano, wished the new Director success as he takes over the position.
He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, then to the Managing Director and the entire staff for the cooperation and support given to him throughout his leadership, until this time of his retirement from the civil service.
In their separate remarks, heads of departments and units of the station—including Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, Habibu Liman, Maryam Muhammad Yakasai, Umar Wada Mikhail, Engr. Kabiru Abdullahi, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Radio Kano Chapel, Comrade Abdussalam Na’iya Gwammaja, as well as the Ƙano State Chairman of the Radio, Television and Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Comrade Babangida Mamuda Biyamusu—spoke at length on the competence of the new Director and wished him success, while at the same time offered him words of advice.
