Terrorists Attack School in Borno, Kidnap Students Writing NECO Exams – Police
Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram and ISWAP have attacked Government Day Secondary School in Lassa, Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, kidnapping an unspecified number of students who were writing their NECO exams.
The gunmen reportedly stormed the school at about 9am on Monday, firing in the air, causing panic among students, teachers and residents before abducting some of the students into the bush.
A teacher was also reported to have died in the attack, while another was injured.
The Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Police Command, ASP Nahum Daso, confirmed the incident, saying that some students were still missing.

He added that security forces, including the military, the CJTF and other security agencies, have begun searching and patrolling the forests of the area to rescue the abducted students and arrest the attackers.
