None Of Spanish Bases Used For Military Strikes On Iran – Spain

The  Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares has confirmed that the Rota and Morón military bases have not been used for military operations related to Iran and will not be used.

This comes after the US and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, starting from Saturday.

About 15 US military aircraft (mostly tankers) were seen leaving the Rota and Morón bases. Some of them flew to Ramstein Air Base in Germany and other locations.

Spain has stressed that the bases are under its jurisdiction and that international law and relevant agreements must be respected.

In an official statement from Madrid, the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has criticized the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, describing them as a form of escalation and calling for less violence and respect for international law.
