We “Politicians” Are Not Fair To The Poor – Senator Ningi

Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi PDP, from Bauchi Central, has said that politicians are not treating the poor people they lead fairly, otherwise they would not be found where they are today.

Senator Ningi made this known in an interview with BBC Hausa, where he said that during campaign periods, politicians go to every corner to seek votes from the poor, but once they win elections, they do not return to see the plight of the poor.

“The poor people we represent are being killed, but nothing is on our minds now except elections and politics,” said Senator Ningi.

He said that there are daily reports of killings in parts of northern Nigeria, like those who doesn’t have a leaders.

“That is why we have asked the National Assembly to seek a suspension of political activities in the 8 northern states that are most affected by this problem until when it was resolved,” he stated.

Before this remarks, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, has previously presented a motion before the Senate, seeking their support in a move, to urge the Federal government to Suspend campaign rallies in 8 Northern states affected by the terrorists activities.
