Be Wary Of Politicians, Do Not Be A Tool For Personal Gains – Cleric Alerts Public
Islamic Cleric in Kano, Dr. Abdallah Usman Gadon Kaya, has strongly urged the public to be wary of how politicians are using them to achieve their personal interests, saying that politicians now only put their own interests first, and not the public or the protection of their religion.
Delivering his sermon, the cleric who is the Chief Imam of Usman Ibn Affan Friday Mosque, Gadon Kaya in Kano Metropolis, Sheikh Dr. Gadon Kaya, has at same time urged politicians, especially from the North, to protect the future of their region in terms of religion and social stability.
Sheikh Gadon Kaya explained that many times, when some politicians are seen raising eyebrows in the name of protecting religion or a certain tribe, they are actually trying to protect their own personal interests such as seeking power, prestige or gaining public support and not for the development of the community.

The cleric also spoke on how a person was seen preventing a student wearing a Hijab from entering the JAMB entrance examination hall in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Although JAMB has defended the decision to bar a student from sitting the exam, saying it is not its policy to bar a Hijabi from entering the exam hall, Dr. Abdallah called for the student to be given her due rights and for the person who barred her from sitting the exam to be punished.
Dr. Gadon Kaya said that it is the duty of politicians in the North to protect the religion of Islam and the future of the people who elected them.
He then commented on a Christian who insulted the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), saying that action must be taken against him, and reminded that if the patience of Muslims ends over the way the dignity of the Prophet Muhammad is being violated, then living in Nigeria will be impossible for everyone, especially the leaders.

The cleric also warned that they are aware of the ongoing external conspiracy against the religion of Islam in Nigeria from abroad, saying that Muslims should not let their patience run out.
He also advised the public to use their intelligence and knowledge to evaluate the statements and policies of politicians, and to avoid becoming tools in the hands of those who want to use them to achieve their goals.
Finally, Dr. Abdallah Gadon Kaya reminded leaders and the public to fear God and correct their actions, which will be their companion in the grave when a person returns to Almighty God.
