Political Group Asks Governor Yusuf To Pick Asiya Ganduje As Deputy Governor

A Coalition group called the Kano State APC ‘Yan Dangole’ has declared its support for the daughter of the former Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, Dr. Asiya Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, popularly known as Balaraba, as the Deputy Governor of Kano State for a referendum.

Kano News 24 reported that the group described Dr. Asiya Ganduje as a philanthropist who has long served the people, especially the youth, through various programs that improve lives of less-privilege.

According to the group, she has demonstrated expertise and commitment in the political arena, and has contributed to creating opportunities for youth and women in various fields including education, careers and self-reliance.

The group also stressed that Dr. Asiya Ganduje has compassion and vision in improving the lives of the community, and has encouraged women to participate in political and economic activities.

Finally, the group stated that her election as Deputy Governor would help bring development, unity and prosperity to the people of Kano State.
