Hike In Fuel Price: Tinubu Admits Nigerians Hardship
President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has admitted that he is aware Nigerians are suffering from the cost of living, especially the rising price of fuel.
However, he urged the nation to be grateful to God and patient, stating that Nigeria’s situation is better than that of other African countries.
The President said, “I hear your complaints from various sectors of the economy. The price of fuel is very painful at this time, but look around; let us thank God that we are better than other countries.”

He cited Kenya and other African countries, saying they are also facing economic challenges due to global crises, such as the ongoing war between the United States, Israel and Iran which has affected the energy market.
The President stressed that his government will not hesitate to provide relief to the poor, and is striving to ensure regular electricity supply to boost businesses.
Meanwhile, reports have shown that the price of a litre of fuel has reached about N1,300 in some areas due to the problems in the global oil market.
