(PFIPC). TheCable has learned that the Nigerian government has approved the recruitment of 300 staff for the newly-created fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), which is designed to promote foreign investment and investment.

Mimi Abu, the Director of Development Services in the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, issued the government’s recruitment order in a document dated August 7.

The document is required by the federal government’s recruitment process.

In the directive, which was sent to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Abu said that the PFIPC has been approved to employ directors at grade 17 in the civil service, and 20 assistant directors at grade 15.

The agency has also been approved to employ 44 administrative officers, 20 of whom are at grade 8, 15 at grade 9, 4 at grade 12 and 5 at grade 14.

The newspaper said that there are also 45 officers who will be responsible for planning, as well as other officers who will be responsible for various departments.

24 hours after the letter was sent, Adeniyi Adeyemi, the director-general of the agency, took to his social media to thank President Tinubu for approving the recruitment.

Adeyemi also announced that the ministry has been approved to establish offices in all 36 states of the country, as well as 127 offices abroad.

The initiative began on June 11, after the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, issued a statement saying that they were not aware of the existence of the office.

Adeyemi subsequently criticized the statement, even calling on President Tinubu to set up a committee to conduct a proper investigation into the matter.

It may be recalled that in the 2026 budget, the office was allocated N1.3 billion.

It was also reported that Adeyemi is working from an office in the government secretariat in Abuja, and receives diplomats and several government officials, in addition to organizing public meetings.

The Nigerian Police Force has filed a case against Adeyemi, charging him with six counts of corruption, according to a statement released by Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.

In a statement he issued challenging Gbajabiamila’s statement, Adeyemi alleged that there was a misunderstanding after the government rejected the request for the allocation of 48 percent of the agency’s budget.

Adeyemi also claimed that he was paid N400 million before being appointed as the head of the ministry, and that he was subsequently owed N200 million as security for his appointment.
