ADC: Atiku Faction Denies Talks To Rejoin NDC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and supporters of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, have denied reports that they are in talks to rejoin the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Reports have suggested that there are alleged secret talks between the parties, with an announcement likely by mid-week. However, the ADC and those close to Atiku have come out in force to say that no such talks are underway.

Sources within the party have stressed that the ADC is committed to its position and is not involved in any defection plan.

Atiku’s faction has also said that all such rumours are baseless and are being spread to create political chaos ahead of the 2027 elections.

The development comes at a time when defection and party alliances are seen gaining more attention in Nigerian politics, especially after some prominent politicians recently switched parties.
